What am I doing in this very precise moment of my life (August 26th, 2019, 19:45hrs)?
English, English, English... and more English all new an globalize things seem to merge and end in the same thing ENGLISH LANGUAGE. I'll tell you the 3 main reasons why I'm enrolled in the WRITING Course at ENALLT.
First of all, medical English has many advantages for doctors. When I was at my 2nd year of my medical school I realized the benefits of using English for my education, for example: there are more books available at the library; books are cheaper; the most updated info is in English; and moreover, there are plenty teaching resources available online.
Secondly, there's no better place to do a training program in medicine other than in a developed country (An English speaking country). One year ago I had the opportunity to do a clerkship abroad in Ohio and I learnt how to work in an ideal and almost unbelievable health care system. As a lover of my profession I decided that if I wanted to spend many years of my life in this career I definitely would like do it in the best place. Then, I decided to apply for a residency program in USA next year.
Thirdly, not everything is related to your job. Communication is the perfect tool to discover the world. As a proud Mexican I love my culture and my nation. And how cool is it to show to the rest of the world the beauty of our country? Or just to take your foreign friends to know your country? That's one of my favorite things about English language, it´s universal, it´s global. It´s the first step to know this world.
Well, English language for me is now a need and not just an education tool.
Great experience and inspiration. I also thing the importance of English in both work and life.
ResponderBorrarRight. We can use the English not only for school but for our future, for example: work, life in general, hobbies, etc.
ResponderBorrarEnglish is a great tool for us to having big opportunities on future. 🤓
ResponderBorrarAs a scientist in progress, I can relate with a lot of things that you wrote about school, it's true and kind of sad that the best texts are in English, it helps people to improve your reading, communication, etc. But, if you don't know the language you will inevitably lag behind. Your goals are awesome and really interesting to keep track. Congratulations on them, it's clear that you have worked a lot to get what you have achieved, and the opportunities that will be popping for you.
ResponderBorrarI really hope you can show mexican culture all over the world! It's great to see that you are having a really good formation as a doctor, and it's good to see that you have many goals to acomplish. Good luck with your aplication!
ResponderBorrarYou have big aspirations and you passion for you profession is obvious, good luck in your residency.
ResponderBorrarI agree with you, English is definitely a great academic tool, then it's a tool for more opportunities in other countries and a tool for sharing yourself and your culture
English, as you said, is so global and probably helpful, but I think Spanish it's so especial and magic, unique and hard to learn. I love both, but I'm staying with Spanish, if you need to chose only one, which will you chose?
